My time as a Spotlight camper was intricate to my process into becoming an actor because it prepared me for theatre in high school. In that downtime between school years, I was able to audition, learn, have fun, and collaborate with people from all over North Texas. It was a jam-packed two weeks with people and memories I'll never forget.

Summer Spotlight was always my favorite part about summer. I loved the people at Summer Spotlight! I loved being able to bond and create an ensemble with the different people from other KISD schools. At camp, I learned how to work under different directors, and I learned a ton from all the different workshops that helped set me up for success in pursuing theatre in college.

I started going to Spotlight camp the summer before my freshman year. I am so grateful I entered this community as soon as possible because I was able to learn from experienced actors and technicians- whether they were students, KISD directors, or special guests! Spotlight gives the young theatrical student a chance to experience the variety theatre can truly offer. I also formed lifelong friendships that I still have to this day. Spotlight is really what connects the KISD theatre community, and I am so thankful I spent my summers here!

Open to Incoming Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors in Keller ISD
$500 Registration Fee
Add a Meal Plan for $100
Limited Spots Available for Actors & Technicians
Registration Open until June 1, 2024
Summer Spotlight Campers Will:
Participate in workshops with various theatre professionals
Actors will audition for and perform in a One-Act play, with performances taking place at the end of the week
Technicians will participate in the design process, with their work being showcased at the end of the week
Interact with students from across the district!
How to Register:
Fill out the registration form.
Pay the $200 non-refundable deposit.
Pay the remainder of the registration fee by July 1, 2024
